Description: Vatanen is located along a 2.7 m fairway about 3 km north of Puutossalmi. It is about 200 meters to the fairway on the west side. There is a small sandy cove on the west shore of the island, near which a fishing hut has been built. There is a firewood supply on the site. The beach is reasonably deep, so you can reach it even with a big boat, but it is quite unprotected, especially in southwest and north winds. In the strait between Vatanen and the small rocky island to the north of it, there is a stern buoy where you can seek shelter if the wind catches you. There are no structures on Pikkusaari.
