Huusankosken kota

Description: The villagers have built Koda, a wooden table, a sturdy log table and benches, an outdoor facility and a shit. A nice addition to the hiking place is brought by a whimpering Vehkaoja or Vehkaluoma, which was full of water in such a rainy July. For small rapids, it was fun to listen to at the campfire site. Kota is located on the Seinäjärvi - Sulkavankylä on the outdoor route, and the hard -use ski route in winter is driven through the codes if the snow conditions allow it. Huusankoski Kota is located along Vehkaoja in Soukanperä in Seinäjärvi. The easiest way to find Koda is to turn from Highway 66 to Sulkavankyläntie, which is driven about 4.4 kilometers, turn right to Soukkalantie, which is 4.3 kilometers. There is about 300 meters along the forest road to the right and a rocky trail with a cloak to Koda at the beginning of the small hillside. With this path about 400 meters and you arrive at Huusankoski Koda. Kota is part of the Alavut and Poikin" destinations for 2015 and has become more familiar to other Alavutelians."

Other names:: What type of hut is this? This is an Open Hut: This is our own classification, there is no Finnish translation. But many cities & neighborhoods that are building new huts are not building a Laavu / Laavut anymore. They are building a more modern / comfortable hut. One that is more of a box shaped, with a roof and partially enclosed walls. It is still "open," exposed to the weather but still blocks the weather. Many will have a picnic bench inside, woodpile, axe & saw you can use. To find these on huts.fi use the advanced filter called “Type of Hut” select “Open Hut.” To learn the difference between this type of hut and the Finnish Laavu, go here: https://www.huts.fi/page/types-of-huts-in-finland
