Description: Ärjä Kota is on the island of Ärjä located on Lake Ontojärvi in Kuhmo. The entire southern part of the island is a long sandy beach. There is a hut, campfire site and an outdoor toilet on the island. This is a great place to stop or camp if you are on the Kainuu Tar Route. You can also come by a small boat, but the island is shallow. There can be high waves from the south and southwest winds. It is about 4 kilometers from the Tervasalmi boat ramp.
