Description: Luvankoski are rapids that are known for great fishing. A hiking trail with huts have been established right next to it. Many people come to catch lake trout. There are several deep pools for great catches. There are also perch & whitefish. The waters are stocked with fish. The fishing season begins on the last Friday of May at 6:00 PM and ends on August 31st at 12:00 AM. Luvankoski and Mikitänjoki fishing permits €15/day, €120/season.
Other information:: Minimum size of trout 60 cm. Minimum size of fat-trimmed stock trout 50 cm. Minimum size of grayling 35 cm. Catch quota 1 salmon/day.
