Description: The Kaatiala quarry in Kuortane, active from 1942 to 1968 for feldspar and quartz extraction, is now a notable recreational site. It serves as a popular destination for collectors due to remaining gemstones in rubble piles and is a renowned sport diving spot in Finland, attracting visitors with its clear, deep waters (nearly 40 meters) and underwater features.
