Description: Stora Brändö is a go-to spot for boaters thanks to its stunning scenery and prime location. The island is easy to boat or kayak to from the mainland. A hiking trail around the island makes it easy to navigate, with several spots for a campfire along with a bird tower in the south. The forest is an old spruce forest with a bog. There is a smaller island of Brändökobben to the south, along with several nearby islets. There's a marked 1.2-meter-deep boat channel running along the island's eastern side. The southern and eastern waters are shallow and rocky, the western shore features steep cliffs with deeper waters, where you can find mooring rings at convenient spots. On the eastern side, there's also a sheltered bay with a concrete piers and mooring buoys, perfect for docking.
