Description: Vaala's Latvakankaan aarnialue is a 3km hiking trail in Kajaani, featuring a 44-hectare primeval forest. The trail leads to a wilderness hut with a fireplace, campfire site, woodshed, and sleeping platform where you can sleep overnight for free. The trail is narrow, with some fallen trees and rocks. The hut and other structures were renovated in 2022, providing a unique experience in Vaala's structurally natural forest.
