Description: This hiking trail can be done in different sections. For example from the parking lot there is a 8 km hike called Jääkärin polku which takes you to Saarijärvi päivätupa (the hut in front of Jääkäsaari island). at Lake Saarijärvi. The path goes through the old forest. There used to be a tar factory in the area (which originally built some of the path). Or you can continue around Lake Saarijärvi in a loop. There are 3 rest stops along the way. Each has an outdoor toilet.
