Description: Hepoköngäs geological nature trail main scenic feature is the waterfall (Hepoköngäs). There are information boards on the trail to tell about the geology, history and vegetation. Hepoköngäs Waterfall is 24 meters, making it one of the highest waterfalls in Finland. What is unique about the area is you can kayak below the waterfall. The kiiminkijoen melontareitti is a great way to see the waterfall. The trail is family friendly, you will see a diverse landscape and can be visited in both the summer or winter when the waterfall freezes.
