Description: This kayaking route you are paddling from the harbor in Sotkamo to Sapsoperä beach. The south side of Sotkamo offers a unique landscape. You can see the higher hills of Vuokatinvaara and the Hiuka shoreline. Usually you will side a wide variety of birds. There are some sandy beaches along the way to take a stop. Along the shore it can be very shallow. A good place to rest is the small little island of Kumpusaari.
