Hietalahti beach is an unofficial beach that is a good family beach. The beach gently slopes making it good for younger children. The bottom is shallow and sandy.

A pier / beach on the Tenetinvirta River in Vuokatti. It is also a good place to launch a kayak or canoe. The current is not strong. There is also a outdoor campfire grill. There are no changing rooms or fire pits on the beach. There are some boat ramps next to the pier.

Suuri-Simuna is an island in Pihlajavesi, there is a sandy beach in a sheltered cove.

The swimming beach has a sandy beach and piers that were renovated in 2019. There is a jumping tower on another pier with jumping heights of 3 m and 5 m. Paltaniemi beach is on Lake Oulujärvi and located near a harbor. There is a kayaking route, snowmobile route and biking route that starts here. It is a popular locals beach. The municipality of Sotkamo is responsible for maintaining the beach.

Sepänniemen Uimaranta. This is a public beach that can be used be anyone. It has a shallow sandy bottom. It is good to note there is a "cabin rental village"" with rental huts & saunas you can rent around the beach so it can be very busy. "

An unofficial beach on Lake Sapsojärvi that is good for launching kayaks

A great sandy beach for kaykers. The beach connects Topinlammi to Mujethoulu and Tenetinvirta.

A pretty good place to land if you are kayaking out to this island (Rehjansaari) located in Nuasjärvi. There is a very small sandy beach but it does the job. Plus, there is a very nice & new covered outdoor grill for cooking. (grillipaikka / grillipaikat). You can get wood from a cottage called Kuusela and there WC behind some of the old gray cottages on the island. You can camp free on the island (every persons right in Finland) but the company that manages these huts also rents out cabins, kayaks, SUP boards, and other services in the area: https://luonnollisesti.fi/

Grönvik Beach is just outside Vaasa. Another great sand beach to launch kayaks for adventures. There are changing rooms, an outdoor grill, playground and a WC.

Fjärdskär Beach is right next to the Raippaluoto bridge and right next to Fjärdskär Tower. It is a nice sandy beach that is perfect for launching kayaks to many of the cool islands around Raippaluoto. There are changing rooms and if you walk to the parking lot area there is firewood.

This is a sandy beach in Stora Halsö. North-west from the beach there are campfire sites, a sauna, an outhouse and piers.

There is a pier, changing rooms, WC at the beach. There is a hiking path to the Karhula Hut. Or go to Lamminpoikanen outdoor grill which is .8 km away.

Marjaniemi beach is by Itäkeskus metro station. Uinninvalvonta. Marjaniemen ranta on tasaisesti syvenevä ja turvallisen uintialueen rajaa merkitsevien poijujen kohdalla veden syvyys on noin kolme metriä. Rannalla ei ole parkkipaikkaa, mutta autot voi parkkeerata läheisten teiden varsille.

Lauttasaari beach is a sandy beach located near Lauttasaari metro station. Uinninvalvonta. Veden syvyys on noin 1,5 metriä turvallisen uima-alueen merkkipoijujen kohdalla, jotka ovat noin 30 metrin päässä rannasta. Rannalla on runsaasti isoja kiviä. Rannalla on ulkokuntosali, beachvolley-kenttä, rantakäsipallo/futis-kenttä ja iso leikkipaikka. Rannan läheisyydessä on myös koripallokenttä korkeilla koreilla ja lisäksi kaksi minikoria. Beachvolleykentän rajat ja verkko. Lisäksi kentän vieressä toinen alue, jossa maalit, joilla voi pelata beachfutista/-käsipalloa. Uinninvalvonta. Veden syvyys noin 30 metrin päässä rannasta, jossa turvallisen uima-alueen merkkipoijut ovat, on noin 1,5 metriä. Rannalla on runsaasti isoja kiviä. Rannalla on kuntoiluvälineitä, rantakäsipallo/futis- ja koripallokenttä, beachvolley-kenttä ja todella iso leikkipaikka.

Esteetön uimaluiska, josta pääsee uimaan myös pyörätuolilla liikkuvat henkilöt. Uimaluiskan välittömässä läheisyydessä on esteetön pukukoppi.

Pikkukoski beach is a beach by a river. The beach deepens fast and there can be currents. There is also a large grassy area for kids to play. Uimavalvonta, hätäpuhelin, pukusuoja, suihku, sauna, WC, kioski, ulkokuntoilupaikka, kori- ja lentopallokenttä sekä leikkipaikka. Parkkipaikka noin 25 autolle. Ranta on varsin nopeasti syvenevä ja joessa voi esiintyä virtauksia. Äkkisyvyydestä ja virtauksista varoitetaan rannalla kyltein sekä ilmoitustaululla. Metallitolpat ja verkko.

Pirnesjärvi Beach

Nivalan ainoa virallinen uimaranta sijaitsee kauniilla paikalla Pidisjärven rannassa. Uimarannalta löytyy pukukopit, ulko-wc, laituri sekä tulentekopaikka. Uimarannalta otetaan kesäkuukausien aikana (kesä-elokuu) vesinäytteet kerran kuukaudessa.
