Terms of Service

Huts.fi is an interactive map and directory of sports, outdoor, and nature destinations in Finland, operated by Jeff Foster ("we", "us", "our"). By using Huts.fi you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

You may browse Huts.fi without an account. An account is required to save wishlists, write reviews, and upload photos. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.

You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and for all activity under your account. Please notify us at jeff@huts.fi if you suspect unauthorised use.

When you submit reviews, ratings, photos, or captions ("User Content"), you confirm that:

• You own or have the right to share the content.
• The content is accurate and not misleading.
• The content does not infringe any third-party rights.
• The content does not contain offensive, discriminatory, or illegal material.

You grant Huts.fi a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display, reproduce, and distribute your User Content on the platform. You retain ownership. We may remove content that violates these terms.

Huts.fi aggregates information from public sources and user contributions. We strive for accuracy but cannot guarantee that all information (opening hours, access conditions, facilities) is current or correct. Always check with the venue or land manager before visiting, especially for safety-critical activities such as hiking or winter sports.

You agree not to:

• Scrape, crawl, or copy data from Huts.fi in bulk without written permission.
• Use the service for spam, advertising, or commercial solicitation.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems.
• Post false reviews or manipulate ratings.
• Use automated tools to interact with the service in ways that could harm its performance.

The Huts.fi brand, design, and original content are owned by us and protected by Finnish and EU intellectual property law. Map tiles are provided by the National Land Survey of Finland (Maanmittauslaitos) under their open data licence.

The service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We are not liable for any loss, injury, or damage arising from your use of Huts.fi or your visit to any location listed on the platform. Outdoor activities carry inherent risks — always exercise appropriate care and judgment.

To the maximum extent permitted by Finnish law, our total liability for any claim related to the service shall not exceed €100.

Huts.fi may link to external websites (venue websites, booking platforms, maps). We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time from Account Settings.

These terms are governed by the laws of Finland. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Finland. If you are a consumer in the EU, you also have the right to use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

We may update these terms as the service evolves. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance. The "last updated" date at the top always reflects the current version. Material changes will be communicated via the site.
