Description

Valklampi Trail is about 1.7 km as one walking segment in the Valklampi mire and pond area just outside Joutsa centre in Central Finland. Joutsan kunta maintains the wider Valklampi outdoor destination; Visit Jyväskylä Region publishes the main visitor-facing description of the full boardwalk circuit around Iso Valklampi and Pieni Valklampi, including practical notes on winter maintenance and facilities. The City of Joutsa lists the area among its nature highlights for guests. About one kilometre from the start this segment meets Valklammin pitkospolku, so it works as a short outing on its own or as a link into the longer duckboard nature trail. Getting there

The usual trailhead described for the Valklampi trails is beside the old Joutsa sports field, reached from Kangasniementie (address Kangasniementie 25, 19650 Joutsa), with an information board at the start and coordinates published by Visit Jyväskylä Region. There is space for many cars beside the old field; Luontopolkumies parked there when walking the duckboard loop. If you join this shorter segment from the Rauhalantie side, confirm the nearest permitted parking from on-site signs and municipal guidance.
