Ainola Kota is located along an illuminated ski trail in Vuokatti. There is a Kota & Laavu here. You can also easily reach this hut from the fitness trail or the nearby hiking trail.

The laavu was built by UPM Energy and the municipality of Sotkamo maintains it.

There is a small island called Lehtosaari located at the western end of Iso Kiimasjärvi (in between the larger islands of Saijansaari and Saijanniemi). It is a good place to stop if you are kayaking on the lake. The shore is rocky and deepens quickly. It can be very windy with the soutwest winds. The Laavu is also located on a snowmobile track. So there is winter maintenance (i.e firewood in the winter).

The Aholanranta Laavu is on Lake Iso Kiimasjärvi, on a small dammed stream. The place is sheltered location that serves very well for staying overnight if you are kayaking on the Lake. An easy landing spot with the pier if you are kayaking The Aholanranta Laavu is maintained by the municipality of Sotkamo.

A hut that can be used for cooking at the start of Hiidenportin kansallispuiston retkeilypolku (hiking trail). It is right near the parking lot. There is also a place to have a campfire next to. This is a popular starting point for hiking in Hiidenportti National Park.

The Juurikkalahti Village Association rents the Hyyvös. The hut rent is 10€/h, the minimum rental period is 2h. In addition, they charge 5€/h for the use of the generator.

Kaarreniemi Laavu is a Lean to shelter on Lake Nuasjärvi (Nuasjärven rannalla) . It is located on Kaarreniemi, There is a toilet, wood shed, trash. It can be reached both in the summer and winter. You can ski out to this hut on the Katinkulla Aurinkolatu (Katikulla sun trail) or in the summer there are many ways to kayak out to it.
