Iitti lies in Kymenlaakso. Juustopolku (Iitti) is about 8 km as one hiking section on the historic cheese-trade path between Vuolenkoski village and the Läpiän laavu area. The full Juustopolku between Vuolenkoski and Heinola is often described at roughly 17 km as a day hike through spruce forest beside the Kymijoki water system; this page follows the shorter Iitti portion only. From the Läpiän laavu end you travel on forest paths and forest roads toward Vuolenkoski. Vuolenkoski village has no public transport; one-way walks of the full trail usually need two cars or a taxi between endpoints. For this 8 km section, practical access is by car to Vuolenkoski near the sports field cluster or from roads serving the Läpiän laavu end—confirm parking and any seasonal restrictions on the Juustopolku (Iitti) page on Luontoon.fi. Heinola is about 30 km by road from Vuolenkoski if you are coordinating lifts for the longer trail.
