This hut has a free & paid reservation system. It is on the famous Nordkalott Trail which also goes to Halti. It It is located on Pöyrisjärvi Lake and the north side of Rassajapuro river. 12 people can fit it in each hut. A hut by the Nordkalott Trail, on Lake Pitsusjärvi, also by the River Rassajapuro. Order for eight people. The hut is also often used by reindeer herders. Dogs are allowed.

This hut is about 1.5 km off from the Nordkalottleden Trail / trail to Halti. It is a free open hut that is right next to a reserable paid reservation hut. It can hold 4 people. Finlands open huts are free, it means you can stay for 1-2 nights for free.

Megonjávri / Meekonjärvi Reservable Wilderness Hut is a paid cabin you can rent very cheap online. There is also a free autiotupa next to this one.

This is a hut on the Kalotti route. This trail goes to Halti. It is in the Käsivarre wilderness area. The snow stays a long time in this area, so if you are looking to go here in the summer the best time is between July - September. And if you want to ski here the season is March & April.

A wilderness cabin you can rent really cheap on the Hetta-Pallas vaellusreitti. Which is a long hike, you are basically going to hike 28 km from Hetta or Pallas to get here. It is near Haukkajärvi (a lake).

Saarijärvi Autiotupa (Wilderness Hut) is a brand new hut on the Kalotti trail, which is in the Käsivarre wilderness area. Basically it is on the trail if you are hiking to Halti (Halti hiking trail). it has 2 rooms, that can hold 8 people each. The old hut used to serve as a free open hut in 2023.

A hut located in the Pöyrisjärvi Wilderness Area, near Pöyrisjärvi Lake. There is 1 cabin, but it is split into two sections. One section is a paid hut you can reserve. The other (this one) is free.

This is a large hut right on the very popular Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park hiking trail. There is a stream 50 meters from the hut for water. Dogs are not allowed. The hut has two sections. One is paid & one is free. This one is the Reservable section. It can hold up to 8 people. You reserve in advance, pick up a key, and pay a small fee.

Saanajärvi Northern Lights Campfire Shelter This hut is along the Saanajärvi hiking route. It is specially designed to see the northern lights. It has a campire inside and windows that allow you to see the sky. There is a WC nearby and also another hut nearby.

This is a paid hut that can be reserved online. It can fit 12 persons.

Hannukuru kota

This is a large hut right on the very popular Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park hiking trail. There is a stream 50 meters from the hut for water. Dogs are not allowed. The hut has two sections. One is paid & one is free. This section is free (Free Open Wilderness Hut): It can hold 16 people. First come first serve basis. No reservation needed. If there are 16 people in the hut, and a new traveler comes, basically the rule is the person who has been at the hut the longest should leave.

Hannukurun autiotupa

A rental cabin for 8 people on Lätäseno river in the Käsivarre wilderness area. There are ski & snowmobile trails that can reach this cabin in the winter. The cabin has a seperate sauna that can only be used with renting this cabin.
