A joint improvement project by the Municipality of Inari and Metsähallitus extended the popular riverside path so you can walk a full circle along Juutuanjoki, with lighting along the river and winter upkeep organised by the municipality. The trail is about 6.3 km as a loop on our map through Inari village, Lapland, following Juutuanjoki through old pine forest and riverside bends. Getting there

The main car access for the Jäniskoski end is Jäniskoski pysäköintialue on Kittiläntie (road 955, Inari–Kittilä), within about one kilometre’s walk of the rapids viewpoint. You can also use Inari retkeilyalue Kortejärvi p-alue from Kortejärventie when you approach the loop from the recreation-area side. Many village visitors start or finish near Sámi Museum and Nature Center Siida and walk the connecting riverside link; allow time to find signed junctions in built-up corners.
