Description

Kylätalolta kylätalolle is a long marked bike and mountain-bike route across four Haapajärvi village areas in North Ostrobothnia, tying together Kumiseva, Kuona–Välioja (Väliojan koulu), Koposperä, and Kuusaa–Jokela (Kylätalo Eurola). On our map the line is about 46.7 km as one continuous tour; the City of Haapajärvi describes the full village-to-village tour at roughly 49 km, which matches rounding and optional short connectors at the start. For step-by-step directions, safety notes at road and railway crossings, wind-exposed field sections, and printable maps, rely on the City of Haapajärvi’s Kylätalolta Kylätalolle page. The Retkeilevä Haapajärvi programme added village infoboards, maps, and trail classification in 2020–2021 using volunteer labour and Leader funding coordinated by the city. The character is mostly easy and moderate countryside riding in the nationally valued Kalajoki valley farmland, with stretches of forest road, gravel, and short paved links; northern segments pass a wind-power area where the city asks you to follow the paint and signs through many track junctions. Getting there

You can join the line at any of the four main hubs. Kumisevan kylätalo: from Haapajärvi centre drive Pyhäjärvi-bound on Valtakatu 27 about 1.5 km, turn right on Kumisevantie and follow about 5.7 km to Katajaperäntie 2. Väliojan koulu: from centre on highway 27 toward Pyhäjärvi about 6.6 km, right on Väliojantie, about 300 m to the school cluster on the left. Koposperän kylätalo: from centre on Ouluntie toward Kärsämäki about 12 km, right on Koposperäntie about 4 km to the hall. Kylätalo Eurola: from centre on Ouluntie toward Kärsämäki about 22 km, left on Harjuntie; Eurola is immediately on the right.

Travel is on everyman’s rights where marked; the Retkeilevä Haapajärvi pages state access at your own responsibility.
