Description

Visit Pori gathers route descriptions and an up-to-date hiking map for Yyteri’s trail network. The trail is about 3.6 km one way in Pori, on the edge of Selkämeren kansallispuisto mudflats and coastal woods. It ties together three viewing spots already on our map: Leveäkarin lintutorni within the first hundred metres from the route start, Huhtalan luontotorni roughly three kilometres along, and Langoura esteetön luontolava at the Huhtalanraitti end. That makes a compact bird-watching line between the Rantahaantie parking and signposting used for Leveäkari and the Huhtalanraitti 206 parking area by Langoura, where you can also pick up Lietteiden reitti toward Munakari and the open sands. Metsähallitus presents the longer Lietteiden reitti as a separate marked mudflats trail on Luontoon.fi; your hike overlaps that world-class wader habitat and boardwalk landscape, only as a shorter cross-link between towers rather than the full janareitti to the beach. About 0.1 km from the start you are at Leveäkarin lintutorni, a woodland-edge tower with open views over lagoon-like shallows and migrating waterfowl—Satakunnan Lintutieteellinen yhdistys still notes why local birders rate the tower highly. Farther along, Huhtalan luontotorni lets you look across Preiviikinlahti shallows; the path uses long stretches of duckboards typical of Yyteri’s lietteet. Near the finish, Langoura esteetön luontolava is a low, wheelchair-accessible viewing platform with interpretation panels; Yyteri’s accessibility pages describe the deck and its barrier-free dry toilet. Length & route

The trail is about 3.6 km one way between the Leveäkari-side start and Langoura at Huhtalanraitti. Early on you pass Leveäkarin lintutorni; Huhtalan luontotorni sits near 3 km; Langoura esteetön luontolava lies a few hundred metres short of the projected end. The geometry places the route inside Yyteri’s wider trail system where Visit Pori lists Lietteiden reitti at roughly 4.7 km as a directional leg and the Huhtalanraitti parking feeds both Langoura and that mudflat trail. Getting there

For Leveäkari, Satakunnan Lintutieteellinen yhdistys directs drivers from Mäntyluodontie via Mooskerin tie to Rantahaantie, then about two kilometres past the small-animal cemetery to an information-board parking area and signposted path with duckboards to the tower. That lot is the practical start for Reitti Leväkarin luontotornille and this connector toward Huhtala. For the Langoura end, Visit Pori and trail bloggers use Huhtalanraitti 206, Pori, with a parking area beside the accessible spur and Lietteiden reitti. Yyteri’s official visitor map PDF linked from Visit Pori shows how the legs meet in the national park. Check Visit Pori or City of Pori materials before you leave for any seasonal closures on niityt or nesting buffers beside towers.

Good to know

Spring–summer: wetland margins and meadow breeding birds may have restricted access on adjacent niityt; follow on-site signs and national-park rules from Metsähallitus pages tied to Lietteiden reitti. Dogs: if you bring one, keep the national park regulations in mind on adjacent sections. The barrier-free Langoura toilet and deck are purpose-built for low-mobility visitors; the longer connector still uses narrow duckboards in places.
