Description

The Oinila River Trail is about 2.1 km along the Paimionjoki river in Paimio, Southwest Finland—a short riverside walk maintained by Paimionjoki-yhdistys with practical access and seasonal guidance on paimio.fi. The association documents trail care, partnership history, and the 2022–2023 reroute after a serious bank collapse, with background on the group’s river-restoration work on paimionjoki.fi. Along the path you pass near Moision ulkokuntoilupaikka very early, then follow the river and field-edge scenery toward Oinilan ulkokuntosali at the northern end. The tread is natural and partly uneven; Paimionjoki-yhdistys added helper structures on the steepest or softest spots after the reroute work. History

Paimionjoki-yhdistys opened the Oinila riverside path in 2018 together with the City of Paimio, private landowners, Apila activity centre, and support from Varsin Hyvä ry. A large bank slide in 2022 damaged the original river edge alignment, and the association and partners rerouted the start across private fields in late 2023, removing roughly the first kilometre of the old line and moving the official trailhead.
