Length & route

The trail is about 10,2 km one way from the Kurjenpesä parking and camping service cluster toward Haukkavuori. Walking back doubles the distance unless you arrange a second car or use public transport along the road corridor; many descriptions treat Haukkavuori as an out-and-back day hike from either end. Official tables elsewhere round the same Haukkavuori leg to about 11 km depending on which forest-road variants you include.

Getting there

By car, aim for the Kurjenpesä service area west of the line: Kurjenpesän pysäköintialue is the natural trailhead parking on Kuhankuonontie near Lake Savojärvi. Good to know

The Kuhankuono network is maintained by the trail association outside national park boundaries, while structures inside Kurjenrahka follow Metsähallitus practice. Winter maintenance is not aimed at this hiking line; plan snow-free months for comfortable walking. History

After the 2009 reorganisation of the Kuhankuono network, a large share of the trails that had been known as the Suokulla route was folded into the same system, and the network also reached Turku, Raisio, Masku, and Rusko.
