Rock Trail (Kalliopolku) is about 1.5 km through Hallainvuori in eastern Helsinki, Uusimaa—a rocky nature reserve between Viikki and Myllypuro with views over Viikki’s fields and Vanhankaupunginlahti. Suomi.fi summarises the same layout: the marked path runs in two sections across the diverse rocky ridge, with a connecting forest path between them that doubles as a ski track in winter. Two rest areas sit on the rock crest at the north and south ends of the reserve; they have seating for groups but no table tops. Length & route

The trail is about 1.5 km end to end on the ridge, in two main sections on the rock linked by a forest connector where a winter ski track also runs. Height changes and short rocky steps slow the pace compared with a flat urban path.

Getting there

The northern start is about 100 metres from the Viikki park bridge over Ring Road I, with a map guidepost at the trailhead. Suomi.fi lists the service address as Viikintie, 00920 Helsinki for general orientation. The route alignment passes the Viikintie / Nurmikenttä grass field area toward the southern end of the line. For driving and public transport, use the City of Helsinki page and normal Viikki–Myllypuro connections.

Good to know

On the Hallainvuori nature reserve, dogs must not roam free; do not light fires, camp, or ride motor vehicles on the protected ground. The adjacent Viikintie hazel grove has its own access restriction—do not wander off-trail inside that habitat. Indoor toilets are available at Myllypuro Sports Park during its opening hours; there are none inside the reserve.
