The Karisalmi bridge summer kiosk in Asikkala, near Päijänne National Park, offers a small café-restaurant serving refreshments, ice cream, and small savory and sweet items during the summer.

At the top of the hill, hidden in the forest there is a small log cabin that has a small cafe. It has been serving tourist since 1937! The cafe is open during both the winter and summer seasons. You can reach there area by bike, hiking, skiing or running the fitness trail.

If you time it right, you can enjoy some traditional Finnish Karjalanpiirakat (Karelian pies) and rönttös in the wilderness. Very traditional finnish foods. The cafe is only open on Saturday from 9:00 - 13:00. The Lentiira Village Association's Piirakkapuoti and café is located in the village of Lentiira in Kuhmo.

Tellun Tupa is a cafe on Lake Saimaa in Pullinlaht open and is only open during the winter. You can get here by the ice road.
