The present Kontionpolut network on Jaamankangas was created through a 2016–2018 LEADER development project titled Kontionpolut – monikäyttöreitistö Jaamankankaalle, implemented by Municipality of Kontiolahti to expand year-round outdoor use focused especially on mountain biking but also walking and trail running.
