Nenustannokka Trail is about 6.6 km as a marked point-to-point day hike in Teijo National Park in Salo, Southwest Finland. It connects Laviakallion pysäköintialue at the Lake Sahajärvi shore with Nenustannummi pysäköintialue on the Nenusta heaths, passing through the same corner of the park as the better-known Nenustan kierros loop but as a longer through line you can stitch into other marked routes. Once you leave the Sahajärvi shoreline band the path threads pine heath and occasional mixed forest toward the Nenusta landscape. Trip writing about Nenustan kierros still applies to the terrain you enter near the eastern end: open bedrock on Nenustannokka, compacted duckboards over restored mires, and stretches where the orange paint is easier to follow than an improvised line along the cliff crest. About 5.5 km into this connector you close in on Nenustannummi pysäköintialue. Almost immediately alongside sits Nenustan nuotiopaikka metalligrillillä with a metal grill frame, and dry toilets stand a few steps away in the same service cluster. From Nenustannummi you can drop onto Postinummen polku or re-walk the classic Nenustan kierros loop without retracing the full 6.6 km link. Lankkeri vaellusreitti and Onnelannummen reitti sit nearby if you are building a multi-day circuit through the national park interior. Expect modest height gain concentrated around Nenustannokka rather than a continuous climb. In dry weather the heath legs feel light; after rain the wooden walkways deserve slow footing.

Length & route

The trail is about 6.6 km between Laviakallion pysäköintialue and Nenustannummi pysäköintialue as one continuous marked hiking line. It is not a loop on the map. Shorter published loops such as Nenustan kierros (~3.5–4 km figure eight from Nenustannummi) cover part of the same landscape but do not replace this longer connector.

Getting there

You can stage cars at either end. Laviakallion pysäköintialue sits along Sauruntie near Lake Sahajärvi and is the same lot used for Kalasuntin polku access to the Kalasuntti ferries. Nenustannummi pysäköintialue is on Sauruntie closer to the Nenusta heaths; independent trip notes give Sauruntie 647, 25570 Salo as the postal context for that lot and describe approaches from Teijo village or highway 52 between Salo and Perniö. The closest public-transport stop named for this corner of the park is Sauru, with roughly 3.8 km of road walking still required to Nenustannummi if you finish there. Confirm current ferry months and any parking changes on Luontoon.fi before you travel.

Good to know

Teijo National Park is a protected area: keep dogs on a leash, carry out litter, and respect any seasonal restrictions noted by Metsähallitus. Firewood has been available at the Nenusta fireplace in independent observations, but supplies vary—carry a camp stove backup if you rely on hot food.
